Ease (Security) 2FA SMS Reset/Removal

For Users who utilize SMS (Text) as a 2FA method for access to Ease will have to choose a new method on August 8, 2023.

Ease is removing SMS (Text) as an option for receiving 2FA codes. This is for two reasons:

1) Enhancement to the security of the Ease platform

2) Recent issues with their SMS provider

Ease’s original plan was to force this change on August 31, 2023, but given the continued service issues, they are accelerating that plan.

When users are reset – they will be prompted to set a new method for 2FA. They will receive a screen similar to this:

The User will be able to select “Application” which will utilize any available authenticator app (Detailed Instructions Here) or Email (Detailed Instructions Here).

If a company no longer wants to use 2FA you may remove that restriction on the Company –> Logins –> Security Page.
