Effective January 1, 2022, Cigna+ Oscar will offer full network PPO plans with Cigna’s Open Access Plus network! This is one of the largest PPO networks in the market.

EPO plans will continue to be offered with the LocalPlus network. These plans are a great fit for employers looking for additional savings while still maintaining access to great California hospitals and providers. No referrals are required on any of the EPO products!

New Plans effective January 1, 2022

  • New PPO Plans – Open Access Plus Network (over 16,000 PCP’s, 60,500 specialists, 345 hospitals, 230 urgent care centers).
  • New EPO Plans – Local Plus Network (12,500 PCP’s, 47,000 specialists, 252 hospitals, 231 urgent care centers).
  • 18 Plans across all metal tiers: 4 bronze, 5 silver, 5 gold, 4 platinum (all HRA compatible plans and 4 HSA plans).

Underwriting 2022

  • Wrap Requirements: Cigna + Oscar plans can be paired alongside any other carrier or carriers or plan type (only need 3 to enroll with Cigna+Oscar and 60% overall participation).
  • Groups can offer up to 4 plans – any 4 plans, any tier, any network combination.
  • NO DE9C or Prior Carrier Bill needed for 3+ enrolled
  • Flexible UW guidelines for start-ups/virgin groups – If 3+enrolled, no tax documents needed – only 2 weeks of payroll.
  • New Group Submission Deadline – 5th business day after the effective date.
