Premium Payment Plan Extended Through August 2020
Blue Shield of California is continuing to support their customers who have been impacted financially by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) by continuing their flexible premium payment options that help ensure coverage through this economic and health emergency. In early April 2020, Blue Shield of California shared with their brokers the update extending the program through July 2020.
Blue Shield of California is continuing their Blue Shield Premium Payment Plan Program for the month of August 2020, for their Individual and Family Plan, Medicare Supplement, and Small Business customers. Click here for updated information on their Premium Payment Plan Program.
Customer must meet and agree to all terms and conditions to enroll in the Premium Payment Plan Program to continue coverage and avoid cancellation due to non-payment. These terms and conditions include the requirement the customer must pay in full the total amount past due and a minimum payment of 25% of their premiums due as soon as possible, and no later than the due date indicated on their bill.
Brokers can track their client’s account status through their online client list on Broker Connection. Consistent with current practices, Producer Agreement and related contracts, broker commissions are paid based on premiums received.
