Updated policy for plan changes made in the first 30 days of coverage?
To help provide a better customer experience, CCSB has established a new policy for determining the effective date for plan changes made in the first 30 days of coverage for both new and renewing business.
Note that plan changes made during the first 30 days of coverage must be with the same carrier.
- Plan changes submitted between days 1-15 will be retroactively effective the first day of the same month, unless otherwise requested.
- Plan changes submitted between days 16 and the end of the month will be effective the first day of the following month.
Infertility coverage is offered on CCSB plans if elected:
Infertility benefits are available for CCSB plans if the employer elects the benefit on the Employer Application. Once elected, the infertility benefit is applied to all CCSB health plans offered to their employees.
- Group size of 1-19 full-time equivalent employees: the infertility benefit is only available on the CCSB PPO plan offerings.
- Groups of 20+ full-time equivalent employees: infertility can be added to both HMO and PPO plans.
