New Virtual Visits Provider Effective 9/1/2019

  • Teladoc will be joining the UHC Virtual Visits network providers as of Sept. 1, 2019.
  • Teladoc will support a new Virtual Visit experience through myuhc.com with the member’s HealthSafe ID of by visiting uhc.com/virtualvisits.
  • AmWell and Doctor on Demand will continue to participate in the UHC virtual provider network and will remain listed on the Virtual Visits provider directory through myuhc.com.

UHC HSA Motion Program

The Motion Program rewards employees and covered spouses with up to a $3 incentive per day, deposited quarterly into their HSA account, by simply walking and meeting Frequency, Intensity and/or Tenacity goals each day. That is up to $1,095 per year per qualified member! The Motion Program is available on HSA-qualified PPO plans and also the newly introduced Harmony HMO Bronze HDHP w/Motion 0%/6500ded plan. New Virtual Visits Provider Effective 9/1/2019

  • Expanded diabetes eye care: $0 copay for a retinal screening photography (RSP).
  • Enhanced contact lens benefit: In addition to the contact lens allowance, UHC offers a separate allowance for the contact lens fit and evaluation.
  • Children’s eye care program: Additional eye exam each plan year for member up to age 13 plus a new pair of glasses if the child’s prescription changes in a benefit year.

California Employer eServices Update

  • Employer eServices (EeS) sign on will be moving to OptumID (OID) beginning in August in order to provide a single sign on experience for users.
  • Brokers and Employers with current accounts will receive the email notifications beginning in August.
  • Invitation letter format for existing users to create OID and connect their EeS ID.
  • Reminder letters will be sent periodically – targeted to those that have not yet created their new OID.
  • Final letter – explaining they need to create a new OID by October 31 or they will not be able to log into Employer eServices.
