UHC Announces Harmony Network Expansion to San Diego County
Effective 7/1/2019 the Harmony Network will be available in San Diego County (Rating Area 19).
Here are some important details:
- Network consists of Sharp Rees-Stealy, Sharp Community Medical Group and
UCSD Medical Group.
- Can be paired with the Alliance network (Scripps based in San Diego) with
NEW UPDATED Choice Simplified V package.
- Updated Harmony brochure is pending release – will be posted on the RBG website
New Plans Introduced for Third Quarter
UHC is introducing three new PPO plan designs and three new HMO plan designs for 7/1/2019 and later effective dates in the Choice Simplified portfolio. The new Platinum and Gold plans have richer plan designs and are available in the updated Choice Simplified IV and V packages.
Benefit Summaries and SBCs for the new plans are pending release and will be posted to the RBG website when available; the Detailed Benefit Grids 7.19 can be used in the meantime for plan benefit information. Rates and benefits are also available for quoting in Health Connect.
HSA Motion Program now available on the new Harmony Bronze HDHP

The UHC Motion Program was introduced for California Small Group PPO-HSA plans 1/1/2019 and will now also be available on the new Harmony Bronze HMO-HSA plan effective 7/1/2019. The Motion Program rewards employees and covered spouses with up to a $3 incentive per day, deposited quarterly into their HSA account, by simply walking and meeting Frequency, Intensity and/or Tenacity goals each day. That is up to a $1,095 per year! Use the HSA Motion Program Brochure to introduce this benefit to employers and employees.
