Join us for An Employer’s Guide to COBRA During COVID-19-Presented by Basic
As part of the response to the COVID-19 National Emergency, the Department of Labor and Internal Revenue Service issued joint regulations on April 29, 2020, providing significant extensions of various deadlines applicable to employee benefit plans, especially group health plans. This includes extending the election period for COBRA continuation coverage, the date for making COBRA premium payments, and the time frame a plan/sponsor has to provide a COBRA election notice. When these changes are combined with the already complex regulations surrounding COBRA, some employers may be left wondering what to do next.
Join us for this free educational webinar that will cover:
- COBRA deadline extensions
- Employer best practices and next steps
- Practical direction for preventing common errors that could result in significant liability
Cat will present for 60 minutes regarding the above topic. We devote the remainder of the time to Q&A and information regarding BASIC’s COBRA Administration. Approved for 1.0 HRCI and 1.0 SHRM-CP advanced credits for HR professionals. Credits are for live attendance only.
Agents and brokers are encouraged to invite their clients that are looking for a reliable, experienced compliance partner.
